Summertime is Here

The summer months bring great weather, outdoor activities, and relaxation. Summer also brings strong UV rays and more hours per day of sunshine.

The suns rays have a temporary affect on TotTurf that only occurs from roughly May through September, and doesn’t happen during the rest of the year. When TotTurf is curing (the first days after installation) the sun’s rays will cause an ambering affect on the color of the rubber. This occurs when the binder that we use reacts with the sun. But this is not a permanent problem. After a short time, the ambering will burn off and the rubber will return to the bright, vibrant color that you originally chose.

In our southwest region, we are used to taking precautions due to the sun, and this is no different with TotTurf. Please take this into consideration when reviewing your site upon completion.
